Link Building with Article Submissions

Article Directories
More and more websites and blogs recognise the need for fresh, quality content to generate traffic to their online resource. Regular and consistent article submissions to the most popular article sites such as EzineArticles, Go Articles and Searchwarp offers benefits in terms of link building and increasing link popularity.
The link building gains come from the link or two that can usually be placed in the author bio at the foot of the article. These links are free and those sites downloading the article must keep the link in place as a condition of use. Don’t waste your time trying to cram links in to the body of the article as the directory will reject it.
Writing and submitting articles offer the opportunity to gain links from numerous sources for one submission. Whilst a decent article may take a while to write, the benefits are well worth the effort. If the article attracts even ten downloads, then it is definitely time well spent. This would be on a par with submitting to ten different directories but typically has the advantage of a faster approval process.
The links gained should be from relevant sources in the same or similar sector you are writing about. If, for example, you write an article on link popularity then sites wanting to use it are likely to relate to search engine optimisation, link building and web promotion. All excellent resources on which to get your copy posted to.
The links can of course be to sub-pages rather than always pointing to the homepage, thus acquiring the deep links that enhance the website as a whole and improves the natural search rankings for specific pages. This way your site should rank well across a larger range of keywords. Also deep links can direct customers to the most appropriate page and enhance conversion if you are trying to promote and sell a specific product.
In addition you can determine the anchor text for the link. The link should contain two or three keywords that are relevant to the page it is linking to, which is important when trying to promote your site for a particular search phrase. This is a distinct advantage over some web directories that insist on the official title of the website being submitted.

So now you can see the benefits of submitting articles, take the time to write articles relevant to your website, reap the linking benefits through the link popularity your site will undoubtedly gain!
